Brainz Pleaze..??

So today was the 80th anniversary of Prosh, the brilliant time of year where UWA students parade around the city and surrounding suburbs in crazy costumes selling their newspaper for charity. I think that, despite the headache and extreme tiredness I'm feeling right now, it was well worth it and probably one of the best things I've done.

I am really looking forward to getting some sleep, though. But to ensure that YOU can't sleep, here's myself and my friends in our zombie madness; imagine us coming to eat your brains (make sure your peashooters are lined up in your front yard...)

L-R: Meaghan, Me, Travis, Sarah.

I'm really proud of the way the makeup turned out considering I had never done zombie make up (or anything to this sort of extreme at all) and that I was just going off of a youtube tutorial. To see it work out well makes me really happy. Even though the first woman that bought a paper didn't realize at first that I was wearing make-up.. And on a somewhat related note, I think a lady tried to hit on me when she was putting money in my tin (not a euphemism, you dirty-minded scoundrels). She didn't even take a paper off me and the Purple Pimp was laughing saying she gave me a real seedy look. But hey, it's for charity, right?

Patheticness

So now I am sitting outside the law building hacking into my Kinder surprise bunny because I am the embodiment of patheticness.

Also moved my car into a spot that I may or may not have had to pay for, so at least I'm in plain view of anyone attempting to put a ticket on my car..

edit:// HOLY MOTHER OF COW. Did not realize that this tiny kinder bunny had like, 350 calories in it. Jaysusss.

Stairs Suck.

So I'm sitting in the Reid Library, my preferred university library of choice (whilst the science library is more modern and new, as an arts student, I can't help but feel the subtle looks of judgment when science kids walk past me and see me with my french books trying to figure out how to conjugate verbs..) completely out of breath. Because, you see, there is a certain row of desks that are my number one choice when it comes to quiet study; they're next to a window, not facing anyone, no-one can see what I'm doing; the most perfect, peaceful spot.

However, when I came into the library from my French class (after doing a test which I certainly think I did better than expected) all of my preferred seats were taken. So I went up two flights of stairs and found an equally peaceful desk on the second floor; only to realize that all the books I needed were located on the first floor. So I left my stuff and ran down the two flights of stairs and when I walked past, the spots that I wanted were no longer taken. Ceasing the opportunity, I ran BACK UP the two flights of stairs, grabbed my shit and bolted down the stairs yet again, and secured my comfy spot next to the atlas. Long story short, stairs will ruin me. If anything, I hope that by the end of my time here at uni, I will have mastered how to go up flights of stairs without losing my breath at the top.

In the meantime, I still have a lot of work to do before I leave today for my first Bikram Yoga class (and yeah, I feel quite top-notch saying that I do yoga; ignoring the fact that I'm about as flexible as a table). I can't believe after 4 months of saying how much I hate the summer heat, I'm deliberately throwing myself into 38-40 degree temperatures.

Tally Ho!

Anybody Out There?

I'm in the midst of my political science assignment, so what better time than this to actually write something here?

I feel a bit twatty in saying "Hi, I'm Caity" especially since there's probably only two or three people who will actually read this and they already know who I am, but on the rare occasion that a lost visitor might stumble upon this whilst they were looking for chocolate brownie recipes or researching meerkats..

Hi, I'm Caity; and I like both chocolate brownies AND meerkats. So we've already got something in common! But asides from that, I'm currently at university studying an arts degree, I'm obsessed with nail polish and am totally boss at origami stars.

And so, with that, I will continue my assignment whilst secretly hoping that I get some form of human or otherwise interaction in the form of a comment on this :D

❤ Caity
