Stairs Suck.

So I'm sitting in the Reid Library, my preferred university library of choice (whilst the science library is more modern and new, as an arts student, I can't help but feel the subtle looks of judgment when science kids walk past me and see me with my french books trying to figure out how to conjugate verbs..) completely out of breath. Because, you see, there is a certain row of desks that are my number one choice when it comes to quiet study; they're next to a window, not facing anyone, no-one can see what I'm doing; the most perfect, peaceful spot.

However, when I came into the library from my French class (after doing a test which I certainly think I did better than expected) all of my preferred seats were taken. So I went up two flights of stairs and found an equally peaceful desk on the second floor; only to realize that all the books I needed were located on the first floor. So I left my stuff and ran down the two flights of stairs and when I walked past, the spots that I wanted were no longer taken. Ceasing the opportunity, I ran BACK UP the two flights of stairs, grabbed my shit and bolted down the stairs yet again, and secured my comfy spot next to the atlas. Long story short, stairs will ruin me. If anything, I hope that by the end of my time here at uni, I will have mastered how to go up flights of stairs without losing my breath at the top.

In the meantime, I still have a lot of work to do before I leave today for my first Bikram Yoga class (and yeah, I feel quite top-notch saying that I do yoga; ignoring the fact that I'm about as flexible as a table). I can't believe after 4 months of saying how much I hate the summer heat, I'm deliberately throwing myself into 38-40 degree temperatures.

Tally Ho!
